Mobile operating systems like Google’s Android and Apple’s iOS have become immensely popular. in fact, while a smartphone has long been judged by its hardware, it seems that a consumer’s choice is based almost entirely on which platform a phone is powered by. of course, this isn’t without reason as while many smartphones becoming quite similar on the hardware level, the different mobile platforms have some distinct differences.

Fanboys of both Android and iOS are surely aware of these differences and have come to either love them, or hate them. however, those anxiously awaiting Windows Phone 7 have yet to really see what Microsoft’s new entry into the mobile world is capable of. sure we’ve seen plenty of video demonstrations but until consumers actually get their hands on the platform, there’s no telling how it will really stack up against Android or iOS.
Unfortunately, while we’ve had a hunch that Windows Phone 7 would be launching sometime within the next couple of months, looking to finally give consumers a hands-on experience, we’ve been unable to secure a solid United States release date. however, it seems that a couple of advertisements have leaked out today giving us some useful information regarding the platform’s launch.
As you can see, the most important of the advertisements lets us know that Windows Phone 7 will in fact be launching on November 8th. this can put to rest that Microsoft will launch the platform sometime later in the month as previously thought. Additionally, the leaked ads also confirms the existence of the Samsung Focus Windows Phone 7 powered device for AT&T.
We’ve heard about this device briefly in the past by way of various leaks but have yet to hear official confirmation. of course, this isn’t exactly official confirmation but seeing how it’s an official advertisement, we’re going to mark this one of as confirmed.
