6.5 earthquake strikes Northern California!
35-miles west-northwest of the small unincorporated community of Petrolia California have been constantly sending out signals of a 6.0 magnitude earthquake at around 12.20 p.m (3:20 p.m. Eastern) the US Geological Survey reported. the symptoms of danger fully exist, but there haven’t been any reports of catastrophes till now.
The NOAA’s West Coast and Alaska Tsunami Warning Center said was heard saying “However, in coastal areas of intense shaking, locally generated tsunamis can be triggered by underwater landslides.”
Authorities have assured that a Tsunami is not at all expected. the quake was recorded to be seven miles (11 kilometers) deep.
It was just last month when Northern California was struck by a 6.5-magnitude earthquake off the shore and about 33 miles from the coastal city of Eureka. 28,000 households were left without power. 6.5-magnitude quake is considered a “strong” temblor, according to CNN meteorologist Jacqui Jeras.
