Jillian Michaels is leaving NBC’s “the biggest Loser” after nearly six years with the show.

Fitness trainer Jillian Michaels announced her decision to leave the show on Twitter earlier this week, writing, “Season 11 of biggest Loser will be my last have to finish out my contract.”

Michaels reportedly wants to focus on starting a family. Michaels told her fans on Twitter, “I want to take a year off TV and focus on becoming a mommy and doing more charity work.”

After filming the summer reality series “Losing It with Jillian”, she realized she wanted to start a family. the reality star said, ” Shooting ‘Losing It’ also had big impact on me. ” Adding, “Living with kids I saw first hand what I was missing.”

Jillian has said previously that she cannot conceive due to endometriosis and Polycistic Ovarian Syndrome.  but says she plants to adopt.

A replacement “the biggest Loser” trainer has already been hired.  the new trainer will work in season 11 of the show to ease the transition to Michaels’ leaving the show.
