March 23 (Bloomberg) — the following is a list ofcompanies whose shares may have unusual price changes in U.K.and Irish markets today. Stock symbols are in parentheses andprices are from the last market close.
888 Holdings Plc (888 LN): the Internet gambling companysaid full-year profit fell to $24.83 million, from $37.19million a year earlier. the shares fell 1 pence, or 0.9 percent,to 112 pence.
British Airways Plc (BAY LN): the airline said its profitoutlook is unchanged after the industrial action of the lastthree days. the shares declined 2.5 pence, or 1 percent, to 241pence.
Cairn Energy Plc (CNE LN): the U.K.-listed explorer focusedon India reported full-year profit after tax of 24.7 millionpounds. the stock fell 5.2 pence, or 1.4 percent, to 378.8pence.
Ferrexpo Plc (FXPO LN): the producer of iron ore in Ukrainesaid its full-year net income dropped to $70.6 million, from$292.4 million in 2008. the stock declined 1.6 pence, or 0.5percent, to 310.4 pence.
GlaxoSmithKline Plc (GSK LN): use of GlaxoSmithKline’sRotarix vaccine should be suspended for four to six weeks whilescientists investigate contamination of the drug by componentsof a virus found in meat products, U.S. regulators said. Theshares rose 7.5 pence, or 0.6 percent, to 1,294 pence.
Imperial Tobacco Group Plc (IMT LN): the cigarette makersaid it anticipates overall performance and financial positionfor the full year to Sept. 30 remain in line with managementforecasts. the shares advanced 19 pence, or 0.9 percent, to2,050 pence.
Irish Continental Group Plc (IR5A ID): the ferry companysaid full-year revenue fell 24 percent to 260.5 million euros.the stock climbed 15 cents, or 1 percent, to 15.45 euros.
Legal & General Group Plc (LGEN LN): the U.K.’s fourth-largest insurer said it is increasing its dividend 33 percent.the shares declined 1.2 pence, or 1.5 percent, to 81.3 pence.
UTV Media Plc (UTV LN): Northern Ireland’s biggestbroadcaster proposed a final dividend of 2 pence, after full-year operating profit declined. the shares declined 2.5 pence,or 2.3 percent, to 108.5 pence.
VT Group Plc (VTG LN): Babcock International Group Plc saidit reached a purchase agreement with VT Group in a plannedtransaction that values each VT share at 750 pence on the basisof an undisturbed Babcock share price. the stock advanced 3.5pence, or 0.5 percent, to 690 pence.
