Victor Ortiz Readies For Nate Campbell

FanHouse caught up with rising southpaw junior welterweight (140 pounds) “Vicious” Victor Ortiz (pictured at right) during a recent workout at the Westside Boxing Gym in Los Angeles.

The 23-year-old Ortiz (26-2-1, 21 knockouts) is coming off of February’s 10th-round knockout over Hector Alatorre, setting up a may 15 clash with 37-year-old former world champ, Nate Campbell (33-5-1, 25 KOs) that will take place on the undercard of a main event featuring England’s 23-year-old, WBA junior welterweight king, Amir Khan (22-1, 16 KOs), in defense of his title against New York’s 29-year-old Paulie Malignaggi (27-3, five KOs) at The WaMu Theatre in New York’s Madison Square Garden.
