Kid Rock spends his share of time here in Nashville, but the rock megastar still calls Detroit home, and thus that was where he held his massive 40th birthday blowout concert Saturday.

Kid did invite a share of Middle Tennessee friends to celebrate with him, however: Rock star Sheryl Crow and country star Martina McBride took the stage at Detroit’s Ford Field, Crow performing hit duet “Picture” with the birthday boy.

Kid and Crow also covered the Free classic “All right Now” and teamed up on “Collide” from Kid’s 2010 LP Born Free (the two also pair up on the album version of that tune).

Anita Baker, Run-DMC’s Reverend run and longtime pal Uncle Kracker were among the other stars on hand at the birthday concert.

Kid Rock had a large cast of well-wishers in the audience, as well: more than 45,000 tickets sold out in 19 minutes.
