GROESBECK (January 21, 2011) — the Groesbeck ISD school board held its monthly meeting Thursday and discussed several items, including a new logo and updating local policy to meet new Texas Association of School Board standards.
The first item discussed was the additions on Enge-Washington Intermediate School. Progress is coming along well, according to the school board, and the current contract project completion date is April 30, 2011.
The new logo will be a “G” with the word “Goats” scripted across the front.
No decision was made on the sale of the GISD property at 819 West Trinity.
The budget for Kids Kare Academy, a daycare providing childcare services for students and staff, was also discussed.
No decisions were made.
During an executive session, board members discussed leaves of absence and recommendations of employment policies. No action was taken.
The school board also approved an extension on Superintendent Dr. Harold Ramm’s contract until 2014.
The board next meets at 6 p.m. on Feb. 17 in the board room in theadministration building at 1202 N. Ellis.
