Apolo ohno Disqualified , Apolo Anton Ohno: Ohno’s bitter sweet harvest at Vancouver Olympics!
Need we scarcely say that, over the course of his illustrious sporting career, Apolo Anton Ohno, has been widely acknowledged as one of the greatest American sportspersons of all time.
Indeed, with his rich harvest at the Winter Olympics, including two gold, two silver and four bronze medals, over his chequered career, the legendary short track speed skater, has been widely held as the most decorated Winter Olympic athlete of all time.
However, as per the latest reports, it would appear that the current edition of the winter games at Vancouver, Canada, could yet count as the most bizarre in his career.
On the evidence of the latest reports, it is learned that shortly after copping the disappointment of being disqualified in the 500 meter short track speed skating discipline, Ohno came back remarkably to inspire United States to a bronze medal finish, at the 5000 meter short track speed racing relay.
It is further learned that the American short track speed skating ace, had to cop the ignominy of being disqualified, after being found guilty of deliberately pushing fellow competitor Francois-Louis Tremblay of Canada, in the 500 meter speed skating dash.
It is further learned that, the relay bronze at the 5,000 meter team discipline, took his medal tally at the Vancouver Games to three, after the bronze and silver that he won earlier.
However, the disappointment of disqualification would surely have made for a bitter sweet harvest for Ohno, at the Vancouver Games.
