Verizon ipad by Apple is now available better late than ever?
In the beginning of year 2010, we all expected ipad being available on Verizon, after long waiting the Apple device will be sold by Verizon from October 28.
The Verizon ipad has wireless internet connectivity only unlike the current ipad and contains a device that will connect to Verizon’s network and give wireless internet access to its users.
The Verizon ipad will sell at the same price as the ones being sold by AT&T at $629.99 for the 16GB devices, $729.99 for 32 GB and $829.99 for the 64 GB devices. A Pay as you Go ipad will also be available on the market for an additional $130 to the standard prices.
Tim Cook, Chief Operations Officer for Apple Inc stated that his company is happy to have been able to reach a deal with Verizon wireless for the ipad to extend the device to a higher number of American consumers.
Verizon consumers will be able to sign up for data bundles for the ipad starting at $20 while AT&T has similar plans for its consumers starting at $15. Verizon Wireless has never hidden its desire to sell the ipad to consumers and blasted AT&T for its network connectivity issues experienced by iphone consumers on the network.
A Verizon representative stated at the time that unlike AT&T, his company built a powerful 3G network capable to connect all devices such as the ipad, iphone, etc.
The new Apple-Verizon ipad deal is good news for both firms as they will be getting more sales during the major festive season of the year.
This news will also convince many people that a Verizon iphone is indeed on its way before the end of the year when the exclusivity deal between Apple and AT&T expires. However Verizon stated through a representative that the only existing deal between his company and Apple was for the ipad.
