THINGS TO DO

AFI: With a speedy, ruffled punk-rock blend, this band has undergone frequent metamorphoses over the years. See it with the Loved Ones and Scarlet Grey at 6:30 p.m. today at the Ritz, 1503 Seventh Ave., Ybor City. $29. (813) 247-2555.

Tampa Bay Lightning: The game against the Phoenix Coyotes tonight is also a Navy Week event, with a sailor performing the national anthem with an all-Navy color guard at his side. The puck drop will be done by a sailor, too. The game at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa starts at 7:30 p.m. $20-$245 at lightning.nhl.com.

Night hike: See what creeps and crawls along Lake Maggiore at night at this guided hike at the Boyd Hill Nature Preserve, 1101 Country Club way S in St. Petersburg starting at 8 p.m. Bring flashlights and bug spray. It’s $3, $1.50 for kids, and reservations are suggested at (727) 893-7326.

What to watch

SERIES PREMIERE Justified, 10 p.m., FX: Elmore Leonard novels come to life in a new series about a U.S. marshal cleaning up his home state of Kentucky.

SERIES PREMIERE, Marriage under Construction, 11 p.m., HGTV: This midseason replacement follows newlyweds as they purchase, renovate and decorate their new home. What fun will it be watching an exhausted couple staring at each other while sitting on the floor to eat dinner because they can’t afford furniture over property taxes and insurance?

SERIES PREMIERE, Love Games, 11 p.m., Oxygen: so let’s get this formula straight: Three former members of the bad Girls Club are fighting over 13 guys from a bachelor pool, right? Can we just eliminate everyone?

Coming up

St. Patrick’s Day: See the river turn green up close on Wednesday aboard the Yacht StarShip’s St. Patty’s Day cruise. The ship departs at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday and returns at 7:45 p.m. Tickets are $39.95 and include one green beer and a dinner of corned beef and cabbage, Irish potatoes and soda bread. yachtstarship.com or (813) 223-7999. if you’d rather watch the dyeing from land, good viewing spots include Channelside, the Beneficial Drive bridge or the Yacht StarShip parking lot, 603 Channelside Drive.

Mutt Strut: Pull on your sneakers and grab your dog’s leash. It’s time for the two of you to get some exercise on a 1-mile walk on the Osprey Trail around Honeymoon Island State Park. Stick around for agility performances, demonstrations and vendors. The event, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the park at the west end of the Dunedin Causeway, benefits the Humane Society of Pinellas. Free, but a $10 minimum donation appreciated for the walk. (727) 797-7722, ext. 222.
