The Other Boleyn Girl Movie review
Item: The Other Boleyn Girl MovieLocation: by jbs
I love classic movies that features corsets and castles and horses, and knowing this was a truly inspired story made me watch this, I was excited to see Natalie Portman portray the infamous Anne Boleyn and Scarlett Johansson as her sister. In this movie, Eric Bana as the King, picks out Scarlett as his lady on the side, and Natalie is furious for in their plan, she was the one supposed to “bewitch” the King, this makes the two sisters feel awkward and while Scarlett gives Eric a child, Eric then loses interest in her and after only a year, Natalie returns to the scene, only to make Eric fall in love with her and she taunts and teases the King because she wants some revenge after his rejection for her sister. her plot however, failed in the end because Eric finally got tired of her games and actually forced her to come to bed with him, after some time Natalie gets pregnant but with a daughter, after trying to sire a son which is to no avail, even comes a time when she isalready pregnant again but loses the baby! Scarlett and Natalie reunite together with their youngest brother, whom Natalie tries to force a plan that is considered the unforgivable – incest, but this does not actually happen but a chamber maid has heard the plan first before they decided not to go along with it, and this was the end of Anne Boleyn. The King thought it did happen and wouldn’t surely believe her at the time since she was only one of his mistresses and obviously didn’t love any of his mistreses, Anne Boleyn and her youngest brother were put to death by treason, and Scarlett was the only one left alone with her mother.
This is a truly tragic story that happened which others still don’t know about the real reason why Anne Boleyn died; she was a promiscuous woman, in her time and still considered promiscuous in our current time, but the plot that they had in mind didn’t really occur and it was such a tragic death for the family. this movie is really great if you’re into novels and inspired stories that happened in the past, the setting was really great, the costumes and the place, and they all did a very good job acting here, for me Natalie was really the best but Scarlett also showed her talent in being just the other sister here, Eric Bana showed a different side of acting that was great and he really pulled it off, and at the end I could just cringe and was the one who regret all that they had done in this movie and in the past, it’s a sad story but also a great one when you’re in the middle of it, it’s exciting as it has issues on mistrust, treachery, and death. I rate this movie a 10 and forthose of you who wants a classic movie, watch this one.
