Elijah Leacock scored three times, and Jake Rizzo completed two big pass plays and kicked the winning two-pointer as the Plantation Wildcats 135s came from behind to defeat the unbeaten Coconut Creek Eagles 20-18 in the American Youth Football League.

Trailing 18-0 at halftime, the Wildcats scored 20 unanswered points with Leacock scoring three times in the second half.

behind 18-12, Rizzo completed a 50-yard pass to Deangelo Franco, setting up Leacock’s tying one-yard touchdown run. with Tyler Suellentrop on the snap and John Ramos on the hold, Rizzo then kicked the crucial two-pointer with 50 seconds to play.

Earlier in the half, Sheldon Augilar caught a 40-yard pass from Rizzo, and Leacock then scored from one yard. Leacock also had a 40-yard touchdown run. Coconut Creek allowed only two touchdowns entering the game.

PEE WEES: COCONUT CREEK EAGLES 8, PLANTATION WILDCATS 0: Shemar Monprevil, Khaheim Simon, Matt O’Dowd, Mekhi Bethel, Brody Palhegyi, Justin Grieve and Nick Harris were outstanding on defense for the Wildcats.

Dante Murphy rushed for 105 yards on 18 carries, and Nick Bennett, Gavin Selfridge, Nicholas Wallace, Ryan Drag, Adonis Garcia, Clayton Zinkil and O’Dowd worked hard on the offensive line. Palhegyi was an inspiration as he returned to the field after an injury.

Riley Allison had 35 yards rushing and threw a touchdown pass, and Lavontae Decius had a key extra point as the Coral Springs Chargers 100s defeated the Davie Broncos 13-6 in the American Youth Football League.

James Bostic (77 yards rushing, 24 yards receiving, 1 TD); Lavontae Decius (64 yards rushing, 1 TD, 1 PAT); Tavontre Decius (25 yards rushing, 1 TD).

120: CORAL SPRINGS 52, DAVIE 0: Connor Hicks had four tackles and returned a fumble 40 yards for a score. Kyshaun Bryan returned an interception 55 yards for a touchdown.

Alex Brown had four tackles and two sacks. Michael Iamunno made five tackles. Landyn Rivadeneria and Kevin Soltis each had four tackles.

Matthew Anderson made three tackles. Reggie Collins, Marico Hall and Jordon Willis each had two tackles. Jachour Pearson had two tackles and an interception. Dominic Seetaram, Kalen Carson and Ro Farris each had a tackle.

Kalen Carson had 49 yards on two attempts and a touchdown. Jordon Willis scored on a 46-yard run. Farris scored on a 20-yard run and a 50-yard punt return.

Bryan had a 19-yard run. Justin Lyle had a 10-yard run. Iamunno scored on a one-yard run. Jonathan Gonzales had a 20-yard run. Hicks was 3 of 4 on two-point kicks. Zach Deliello went 2 of 3 on two-point kicks. Center Corey Gaynor did a good job anchoring the offensive line.

Colin Flynn had 111 yards rushing and the winning touchdown as the Coconut Creek Eagles Pee Wees defeated the Plantation Wildcats 8-0 in the American Youth Football League.

Gavin Kernan kicked a key two-pointer, and Logan Hayes had 10 tackles, a sack and a forced fumble. Zachary Crooks made nine tackles. Xavier Padgett had six tackles. Timmy Manning had four tackles and a sack. David Daniels made six tackles. Flynn had five tackles.
