Peggy Rea, a veteran TV actress who is best known for her roles on “The Waltons,” “The Dukes of Hazzard” and “Grace Under Firem” died of congestive heart failure on February 5 at her home in Toluca Lake, California, according to People magazine.

Rea was 89-years-old at the time of her death. She began her career in the ’60s with roles on “I love Lucy,” “The Odd Couple,” “All in the Family,” “MacGyver” and “The Golden Girls.” She has appeared on 72 TV shows as well as 17 movies, including “Devil in a Blue Dress,” “In Country” and “Made in America.”

the Los Angeles native also had several regular roles on telvision, the actress played Rose Burton on “The Waltons,” Lulu Hogg on “The Dukes of Hazzard,” Ivy Baker, the mother of Suzanne Somers’ character on “Step by Step” and Jean Kelly on “Grace Under fire.”

Rea’s funeral will take place at 11 a.m. on Feb. 28 at Santa Barbara Cemetery.
