1269585016 Bob Houghton: Kansas City's Sunil Chhetri Is A Boy With A Lot Of Steel probably the greatest pleasure for any teacher in the world is to see his student achieve what he intended to at the start of their discourse, or even manage to be there half-way through. It’s not a question of pride but a unique satisfaction of seeing someone grow as an individual and helping the person concerned in the process.

That will be the best way to describe what Indian national coach Bob Houghton would be feeling. and why not? Sunil Chhetri has signed with the Kansas City Wizards, an MLS club, and it’s not a secret that the Indian striker credits the Englishman for making this move possible.

“I am delighted for Chhetri. he plays well, is a good player and has the special quality that you need to play abroad. The boy has worked hard for this move.

“The thing about Chhetri is that he is a boy with a lot of steel and determination about him. all the very best to him,” said Bob Houghton.

With Chhetri’s signature for the MLS club, he wouldn’t be part of the seven month preparation program for the 2011 Asian Cup where all the national team players would be contracted with the Indian FA.
