Well, I am planning to attend Coachella 2011 with my auntie and a few friends and of course, as mentioned; we're newcomers. I am seeking for adivce from someone who has been to Coachella in the past years.

Ok, so I am taking a van and is it allowed to sleep in our cars if we have to? And do we have to pay to have a spot to park our cars? also, I've seen pictures of people having tents and do we also have to pay for that? I've also heard of a "car pass" for Coachella. can someone just clear up these things for me because I am looking to have a spot for my van and I am looking forward to putting up a tent. also, is it possible to leave our car/tent there for three days and will it be safe? how much does a "car-pass" cost and I'm assuming it's for all three days?

I've also heard of "showers" on site and port-o-potties. of course, I'm looking forward to staying all three days for Coachella and I want to know if there are actual "showers" there and such. And is camping on site better or not better than staying at a hotel?

What's allowed and what's not allowed in for Coachella? Like snakcks, mini-grill to cook food, etc.
Again, I'm a newcomer for Coachella and I will greatly appreciate help from someone who really knows about going to Coachella! Please & thank you!
