How can a netbook have Intel GMA 3150 Integrated graphics chip and have 64mb of dedicated video memory?
I'm comparing 2 netbooks and the pre-blackFriday deals:
Gateway at BestBuy: In the specs it says the netbook has 64mb of dedicated video memory ( http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Gateway+-+Netbook+/+Intel%26%23174;+Atom%26%23153;+Processor+/+10.1%22+Display+/+1GB+Memory+/+160GB+Hard+Drive+-+Black/1336719.p?id=1218251232907&skuId=1336719&st=1336719,%209999142900050008_&cp=1&lp=1 )
and
Acer at Target: ( http://www.target.com/Acer-Aspire-Netbook-AOD255-2331/dp/B0041DZTV2 )
Acer and Gateway are the same company, these netbooks seem to be exactly the same, I bought the Acer, but the fact that the Gateway says it 64mb of dedicated video memory makes me want to return my purchase. any clarification would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
The Acer uses shared memory.
